NCD International
- The Institute for Natural Church
Development (NCD International) was founded in 1989 by
theologian Christian A. Schwarz. In the nineties it organized an
extensive research project on the subject of church growth. This
laid the foundations for the present international ministry.
Over 1,000 churches in more than 32 countries took part in the
original study. To date, 55,000 churches have participated in
the NCD Survey. In all churches completing three or more
surveys, the average growth rate increased by 51% between the
first and the third surveys.

Christoph Schalk is director of the international network of NCD
Partners which covers more than 60 countries. He is also in
charge of the research department of the institute.
